The Guiding Star Grange is a 501(c)8 charitable fraternal organization. Donations made directly to Guiding Star Grange are not tax-deductible. However, they can be used for any of the Grange's many expenses, whether recurrent (heating oil, painting, alarm system maintenance) or extraordinary (alarm malfunction, lift repair, plumbing disaster).

The Friends of Greenfield Dance, which is not affiliated with the Grange, is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, whose objectives are threefold: to promote and support the development of cultural programs of music and dance, to facilitate cooperation among musicians and dance community members, and to maximize participation in dance events. Donations to the Friends of Greenfield Dance are tax-deductible and can be used for building projects at the Grange Hall, which fall within the stated objectives of the Friends, as well as other activities sponsored by the Friends. Donations to the Friends cannot be used for operating expenses or ongoing maintenance.
